  2'     Governor Oyetola Ilobu/Erin-Osun crisis: Traditional rulers sign peace pact METRO By  Adeolu Adeyemo - Osogbo On  Feb 8, 2021 The lingering crisis between the Ilobu and Erin-Osun in Irepodun Local government Area of Osun State may be laid to rest as the traditional rulers of the communities on Monday signed a peace pact and pledged to placate their subjects to give peace a chance. The meeting held in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, yielded positive results as traditional rulers of the two communities pledged to uphold their assurances on letting peace return to the troubled communities. Present at the meeting were the State Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode, Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olaniyan, Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuf Omoloye.   Edo teachers suspend 19-day strike February 6, 2021   1 min read The Edo State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has suspended its 19-day strike. The notice of the discontinuation of the strike is contained in a statement issued on Friday by its Chairman, Pius  Okhueleigbe; the Assistant Secretary-General, Mike Itua; and three other members of the executive. The union disclosed that the suspension of the indefinite strike, which commenced on January 18 this year, was made possible by the national leadership of the union. It urged all public primary school heads and teachers in Edo state to resume work on Monday, February 8, 2021. The union declared that any form of victimisation against Edo NUT leaders and members should be promptly reported to the leadership for necessary action.
