The command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Haruna Mohammed, who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday in Awka, said that the rifle was recovered from a 20-year-old suspect. He said that the suspect was arrested on Feb. 21 at about 11:30 am., in collaboration with local vigilance group, at Nkwelle Ezunaka, near Onitsha, following an intelligence report. Mysterious fire razes 620 houses, burnt minor to death in Borno IDPs’ camp ON  FEBRUARY 17, 2021 4:24 PM IN  NEWS  NDAHI MARAMA, MAIDUGURI NO less than 620 makeshift houses have been completely destroyed by fire at Custom House Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in the outskirts of Maiduguri metropolis, Borno State. A child also lost his life while the other two old women sustained injuries during the inferno. It was gathered that the fire outbreak which started around 8:30 am.on Wednesday consumed almost all parts of the camp, before it was put off by the combined efforts of the IDPs, security agents and officials of the federal and state fire service. Four hours later, another fire breaks out in another part of the camp destroying many of the makeshift tents.

The apprehended man was said to have tried to write the examination for his wife. A statement issued by the Information Officer at the Ministry of Education, Roseline Olawuni stated that the husband was apprehended with the help of operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civic Defense Corps. He was caught after his passport photograph was said not to have a match with the photo records of applicants stored on the database of the Ministry of Education.
